The Cornish village of Forrabury is said to be haunted by the sound of ghostly bells tolling beneath the sea. According to legend, a ship carrying new church bells was wrecked off the coast after the captain cursed during the voyage. The bells sank with the vessel, but on stormy nights their muffled chimes are still heard rising from the depths. Some locals also tell of phantom boats, their spectral crews rowing silently toward the place where the ship went down.
