Haunted Corner Shop, Hyde

Between 1989 and 1991, Mr and Mrs Farris experienced a strange haunting at their corner shop in Hyde. Renovation work appeared to unleash a mix of mischievous and frightening activity. Objects rearranged themselves with uncanny precision, such as saucepans lined up by size and direction. Ghostly figures also appeared, including an elderly man in Victorian clothes, a child, and a shadowy figure in a long coat. During a nearby fire, rescuers saw two children at the shop’s window, though none lived there. The couple escaped unharmed, convinced that supernatural forces had once again stirred within the old building.
