Lower Brockhampton Manor House is reportedly haunted by a woman in Victorian dress, referred to as the Grey Lady. Sightings have occurred in an upper bedroom and the grounds, sometimes accompanied by a sweet scent or a sudden drop in temperature. Staff and visitors have reported sensations of being watched or touched, objects found unlocked, and unexplained mists appearing in photographs. One former resident experienced what she described as the presence of someone getting into bed beside her, often witnessed by her dog’s disturbed behaviour.
