Manifold Valley, Leek

On moonlit nights, a ghostly white horse with a headless rider is said to race through the Manifold Valley. The apparition is believed to be the spirit of a pedlar murdered by two men, who severed his head and placed his body back on his horse before sending it across the moors. Those who claim to have seen it describe a terrifying and bloodied figure galloping along the Manifold Way.
