Tonge Hall, a decaying Tudor mansion in Middleton, was reputedly haunted by several spirits, including a crying child said to echo through its cellars. During a late-night investigation, ghost hunters captured a shifting mist on camera and later discovered four upturned coasters mysteriously arranged on the floor of an empty room. The team also reported cold spots, strange lights and the sensation of being watched. A ouija board session in the Great Hall produced contact with an entity named William, a name matching that of the owner’s late uncle, adding another layer to the hall’s long-standing reputation for hauntings.
