Unknown House, Burbage (Nancy Price Incident)
Actress and author Nancy Price C.B.E. recorded a chilling experience while staying in a house at Burbage, near Buxton, during her early stage career with the Benson Company. Over three nights she was attacked by an unseen presence that gripped her throat and whispered “Remember.” The landlady later admitted the house was reputedly haunted, the scene of a double murder committed by a jealous husband over a century earlier.
