Unnamed Lane, Jevington

A grey-clad female phantom has been seen drifting beside the hedgerow on the lane leading to Jevington church before crossing the road and disappearing. Earlier in the twentieth century she was described as a medieval nun and was well known enough to be portrayed at a village fair. The figure has reportedly appeared several times in recent decades, once even addressed by a visiting vicar who mistook her for a living person.
