A house on Lord Street, Macclesfield
Lord Street in Macclesfield has long been linked with hauntings, perhaps connected to its proximity to the old Gallows Field. Residents have reported a range of strange activity: clanking chains on the stairs, icy chills, and ghostly hands tapping on windows. One house was said to be haunted by a young man who died during its construction, while another was troubled by apparitions of a boy, a little girl, and a man in a top hat. Pastor Henry Drabble was once called to perform an exorcism here after an entire family experienced violent and persistent disturbances.
