Capesthorne Hall, Siddington

Capesthorne Hall, a grand 18th-century mansion near Macclesfield, is associated with multiple ghostly reports. A ‘Grey Lady’ has been seen gliding through the corridors, while a line of shadowy figures has reportedly descended into the family vault beneath the chapel. One bedroom is now known as ‘The Room with the Severed Arm’ after a young family member awoke in 1958 to see a detached arm reaching for the window. Other guests, including Members of Parliament, have reported doors opening and slamming, spectral sightings, and unexplained disturbances.
