Dunham Massey Hall, Altrincham

Dunham Massey Hall, once home to the Earls of Stamford, has long been linked with strange activity. The ghost of an architect who fell or was pushed from the roof is said to wander the house and grounds. Visitors have reported a Victorian gentleman on the staircase, footsteps when no one is there, and objects moving on their own. The Oak Room is often described as the most haunted, where guests have felt cold presences and woken unable to move. Voices and laughter have also been heard when the hall is empty, suggesting its spirits still linger.
