At the century-old Prince of Wales pub in Gatley, staff have long spoken of mysterious goings-on. Landlord Peter Cleary heard furniture moving and doors banging in his upstairs flat, while chef Sue once froze in terror after hearing drinks being poured in the locked bar and seeing a tea towel swinging as if someone had just passed. Tales persist of ghostly bar staff and a former landlord who died on the premises.
