Royal Thorn Farm, Wythenshawe

In 1886, farm labourers lodging at Royal Thorn Farm in Northenden claimed to have been visited in the night by a tall, thin figure dressed in white with shrivelled features. Terrified by the apparition, they refused to sleep in the hut again, insisting it had been no illusion but a genuine ghostly visitor from the other world.
