The Floating Island, Capesthorne

According to legend, the floating island of Redesmere was once fixed in place until a supernatural storm set it adrift. A Capesthorne knight, wrongly believing his betrothed unfaithful, swore he would never see her again unless the island moved. When a violent storm later tore it free and sent it gliding across the water, he took it as a sign of her innocence. The couple were reunited, and the island has floated on the mere ever since.
