The “Little Church Lady”, Great Longstone

A family living in Great Longstone named their home “Little Church Lady House” after a kindly spirit seen only by their children. During meals, the children would remark on seeing the “little church lady” walking into the next room to wash her hands. She was described as a small, quiet figure dressed in sober black, never frightening but always unseen by the adults.
