The Red Lion Inn, Hognaston
The 17th-century Red Lion Inn in Hognaston is said to host two enduring patrons. The first is a disheveled man in a World War I greatcoat, brass buttons gleaming, who wanders the inn with quiet purpose. He is often seen alongside an elderly man in a flat cap who approaches the old back entrance before fading away. Landlady Pip Price believes both were once regulars, still drawn back to their favorite haunt long after death.
