Tudor Rose Inn, Burgate
Footsteps were repeatedly heard on the stairs and nearby landings throughout 1967, accompanied by sightings of a vague female figure gliding up the staircase. A paranormal investigation produced no explanation. By 1972 the new owner also reported strange noises near the stairs, and a visitor claimed she had seen the same mysterious figure.
