Little Moreton Hall, Congleton
The moated, timber-framed manor of Little Moreton Hall is said to host several lingering spirits. In the Long Gallery, witnesses have reported a grey lady drifting silently along the floor before vanishing into thin air. Around the small chapel, visitors and staff have heard the quiet sobs of an unseen child. Their identities remain unknown, but both hauntings add to the brooding atmosphere of this Tudor masterpiece.
