The Bridge, Georges Road, Heaton Norris

The Bridge pub in Heaton Norris was associated with the ghost of a woman known locally as Mrs Bep. According to reports, she lived across the road from the pub and took her own life by hanging. Since then, her presence is said to have haunted the building. In 1993, the Stockport Ghost Society held a public ‘fright night’ at the pub, citing its paranormal reputation and the story of Mrs Bep as a central feature.
