Winster Hall, Winster

Winster Hall is said to be haunted by the ghost of a young woman who, in the 18th century, fell in love with a coachman employed by her family. Forbidden from marrying him, she reportedly climbed to the top of the hall with her lover and leapt to her death. Their ghosts are said to reenact their fatal leap near Christmastime each year. A spectral woman in white is also said to be seen in the grounds, and locked doors within the house are reportedly found mysteriously opened.
