26 Middle Hillgate

In August 1993, Tony Hill reported a series of disturbances at his opticians business at 26 Middle Hillgate, shortly after moving in. A colleague who spent a night on the premises refused to return after hearing footsteps on the upper floors. Hill himself felt a tap on his shoulder while working alone. Other reported incidents included a shelf pulled from the wall, pictures tilted, and equipment interfered with. Paranormal investigators Martin Mills and Angela Conway were called in but witnessed nothing directly, though they reported sensing a presence.
